Job Opportunity: Controller

LEG is seeking a Controller to oversee accounting operations. The Controller will work to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Reporting to LEG’s VP Finance, this is a full-time, permanent position. Salary to commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Issue timely and complete financial statements, produce periodic financial reports
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive set of controls and budgets
  • Maintain accounting records, including General Ledger journal entries and all account reconciliations
  • Develop and present mid-month reports to Parent Company, Government, and Bank
  • Maintain Accounts receivable, ensuring collections are completed in a timely manner
  • Provide financial analyses as needed
  • Work with our external auditors on annual audit
  • Act as a signing officer for the company
  • Work with VP Finance and Finance Team to develop and implement solutions throughout the company
  • Assist in developing automated processes of responsibilities and tasks within the Finance Department as well as within additional departments
  • Additional duties as required

Essential Qualifications:

Must have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration. Equivalent education and experience will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with, or working towards, the CPA designation. Additional requirements include:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced reporting and analysis skills
  • Advanced presentation preparation and delivery skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must exhibit ownership of the financial processes of a company while being flexible and a team player
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and drive them to closure with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and project organization skills
