At Leading Edge Geomatics (LEG), our mission is to provide next generation service and technology solutions in the geomatics industry. LEG has grown to be one of the top providers of digital aerial photography and LiDAR throughout Canada and the United States. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The HR Coordinator will support employees at all levels in a fast-paced environment, playing a key strategic role in providing effective solutions to Human Resources issues and partnering with management teams. Major areas of focus include recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compliance and implementation of company policies. Reporting to LEG’s CEO, this is a full-time, one year contract starting June 2021.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage full cycle of recruiting process including posting job opportunities, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending offers of employment
  • Manage full onboarding and offboarding process for employees
  • Complete Payroll Administration for all entities in both Canada and US
  • Supervise and assist with company benefits administration, including enrollment and updating employee information
  • Provide counsel and coaching to managers and employees on all employee related issues including, but not limited to performance management, progressive discipline measures, career development, compensation, employee relations issues, policies and procedures, and employment/labour laws
  • Help managers develop and monitor KPIs and career paths for employees
  • Maintain, update, and administer company policies as required
  • Create, update and maintain all company job descriptions
  • Work with department managers to identify Human Resource needs and associated costs for each department
  • Manage administration and analysis of HR metrics, reports, communication, surveys, organizational charts, record keeping, correspondence, personnel files as well as collecting, reviewing and documenting organizational needs
  • Aid in creation, administration and analysis of employee performance reviews and engagement surveys through HRIS
  • Continuously work to maintain and enhance overall company culture
  • Additional duties as required

Essential Qualifications:
Must have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related discipline. A minimum of 3 years in HR experience is required, equivalent education and experience will be considered. A strong working knowledge of New Brunswick Provincial and Federal Labour Laws is required. Additional requirements include:

  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing organization-wide HR programs
  • Handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and drive them to closure with minimal supervision
  • Possess a positive, professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills and will be a self-starter seeing projects through to completion
  • Excellent time management and project organization skills

Salary: $43,376.00-$60,000.00 per year
