Job Opportunity: Sales Director

At Leading Edge Geomatics (LEG), our mission is to provide next generation service and technology solutions in the geomatics industry. LEG has grown to be one of the top providers of digital aerial photography and LiDAR throughout Canada and the United States. As a result of our expanding product offerings, we are seeking a Sales Director to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, the overall goal of this position is to develop new revenue generating opportunities with new and existing clients, execute sales strategies, manage key accounts and support clients. Working closely with all LEG departments, this is a full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze, implement and monitor sales statistics, KPIs, and metrics, and use that information to formulate sales and growth plans
  • Plan and manage execution of sales strategies for assigned markets; develop sales plans for each market including budget and sales goals
  • Develop, manage and monitor outreach/inside sales campaigns
  • Work closely with marketing to ensure coordination of efforts across all departments; provide input and participate in the marketing, planning, and technical development of products and services
  • Provide regular updates and management of clients, opportunities with the company’s the CRM Database
  • Aid in the preparation and delivery of presentations
  • Respond to client requests and maintain client relations; manage key accounts and corporate customers as assigned
  • Travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events
  • Develop and manage Sales Team
  • Additional duties as required

Essential Qualifications:

Must have successfully completed a program in Remote Sensing or GIS from a recognized post-secondary institution or have several years’ experience in the industry. Business program completion an asset. Equivalent education and experience will be considered. A strong working knowledge of remote sensing applications and products, and experience in sales or account management an asset. Additional requirements include:

  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical writing abilities
  • Excellent customer service, time management, and project organization skills
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience with negotiating contracts and business agreements
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous quality improvement
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Maintain a helpful and positive approach to all client and colleague interactions
